Navratra is the festival that is to the top with the marvelous lights and full festivity. The navratra festival is the mixture of worship of goddess Durga and fun all around. The whole festival of nine days is devoted to Goddess Durga. Along with this, the festival is the most expected festival for all the age groups. The festival has celebrated in the Nepal with great enthusiasm and excitement in the whole of the country. This exciting festival has celebrated in ten days and night which is normally exhausted in Puja and worship.
The Navratra celebrations also fluctuate from place to place. On the first day of Dashain, Ghatsthapana puja is pragmatic and ‘Dashain Ghar or a special puja room has decorated. During Dashain, Saptamatrikas (7 divine Mothers), Ashtamatrikas (8 tantrik Goddesses) and Nava Durga Goddesses (9 characteristics of Durga) are worshipped. Barley or paddy is implanted on earthern pots (ghata) and after ten days the seeds get grown. It symbols the good harvest. All non-resident Nepalese also come back to their country to have a good time the festival of Dashain.
In fact, Dashain has celebrated for fifteen days in Nepal. The first day is to implant Jamara, the barley and corn saplings. The main Dashain has celebrated on tenth day. On earliest nine days of Dashain, nine appearances of Durga are worshipped. From 10th to 15th days of Dasain, Tika and Jamara are presented. Animal sacrifice is extremely common during Dasain on Ashtami and Navami days in Nepal. Hindu civilization and Hinduism do not persuade such impolite rituals.
The Navratri festival has celebrated across India among the people and has dedicated to Goddess Shakti. It also called as Dusshara. According to the Hindu calendar, Navratri starts on from the first day of the bright fortnight of Ashwin which usually concurs with the end of the rainy season.
